A Walkthrough and an Edited Sequence Are Different

Model-based architectural animation

A rendered camera path through a defined 3D scene depends on the available model, scene preparation and agreed movement. If your brief calls for spatial continuity, identify that requirement so we can discuss the material and production scope needed.

A continuous walkthrough or flythrough should be confirmed in the project scope, rather than assumed from the word “video.”

An edited property sequence

A film can also present property views through editing, motion and transitions using the agreed source material. A sequence of views does not by itself establish one continuous, geometrically consistent camera journey.

The AI-generated villa demonstration on our site is a conceptual edited sequence. It is not a measured property capture or a continuous camera survey.

The samples above are presented as published films, without inferring an unverified production method or promising the same technical approach for every project.

Shape the film around its purpose

Scenes, Duration and Formats — Agreed Together

What should viewers see?

Identify the spaces, features and information that matter to the audience. Define the scenes and visual priorities before discussing the camera approach or edit.

How should the story unfold?

Discuss scene order, pacing and intended duration. The appropriate approach depends on the brief and the source material available.

Where will the film be used?

Share the presentation, website, listing or social channels you have in mind. Agree the aspect ratios and delivery formats needed for those uses.

Prepare the starting point

What to Send for an Architectural Animation Quote

  • The property type, audience and purpose of the film.
  • Available plans, models, renders, photos and existing footage.
  • The rooms, exterior views or features you want to include.
  • Visual references, intended duration and required aspect ratios.
  • Any text, branding or supplied audio requirements to discuss.
  • Your intended deadline and review contacts.

Tell us if you require continuous spatial movement, a specific viewpoint or a particular production method. We discuss feasibility and any additional source material before agreeing the scope.

Define the Deliverables Clearly

The project quote sets out the approach, scenes, duration, review stages, revision scope, usage and final formats. Extra scenes, alternate edits or additional formats should be identified in the brief.

If your project has a specific technical requirement, describe it in the brief so the available scope can be confirmed before production.

A Production Scope Built Around Your Materials

01 / Review the brief

Send the project references and explain the audience and intended use. We discuss what the source material supports and where further information is needed.

02 / Agree the visual approach

Define the production method, scenes and editorial direction. Confirm the deliverables and review stages before production.

03 / Review and deliver

Refine the film through the agreed review process. The project agreement defines revisions, usage, duration and final file formats.

Scope before price

Architectural Animation Costs

Source readiness, scene complexity, number of scenes, production method, duration, editing and revision scope affect the work involved. Alternate cuts and aspect ratios can add deliverables.

For background on the factors involved, read our architectural animation cost guide. Your project receives a tailored quote based on its actual scope.

Connect Still Images and Motion

If you need interior stills or exterior stills alongside the film, include them in the brief so the visual direction can be considered together.

Architectural Animation Questions

Do I need a finished 3D model to request a quote?

Send whatever material you have: plans, models, renders, photos or footage. We review the starting point and discuss the approach, limitations and additional information needed for the proposed film.

Will the video be a continuous walkthrough?

That depends on the agreed production method and source material. A continuous model-based camera path differs from an edited conceptual sequence. Identify spatial continuity as a requirement so it can be discussed and confirmed in the scope.

Can you make a film from existing renders or photographs?

Share the material and your intended result. We discuss its suitability for an edited property sequence and the limitations of that approach. It should not be described as a measured capture or continuous model-based walkthrough unless that method is actually used.

How long will the film be, and which formats are included?

Duration, scenes, aspect ratios, review stages, usage and delivery formats are agreed in the quote. Tell us about the channels and versions you need before production.

Does the animation provide technical or construction documentation?

No. This is visual production for property presentation. Surveys, architectural or engineering drawings, planning approvals and construction documentation are outside the service.
